Beach and island holidays

Warm water, white sand and nothing to worry about. The art is picking the right island in the right season.

02The mood

The sea is not the same everywhere: an ocean lagoon, the Aegean's clarity and the Gulf of Siam's warmth are entirely different holidays. And since the seasons rotate, at any time of year there is a place where the water is at its best. Our job is matching that place to your dates.

04Practical

Worth knowing in advance

The season decides

In winter the ocean is waiting: the Maldives, Thailand. In summer the Mediterranean and Mauritius's dry season. The precise calendar is on the seasons page.

Visas

The Seychelles and Mauritius are visa-free; the Maldives and Thailand stamp you on arrival. Only Greece needs an advance Schengen visa, which we prepare.

06Questions

Frequently asked

  • 01

Where is the warmest sea in winter?

The Maldives, Thailand and Sri Lanka: December to March is their dry season and the water stays warm. Egypt is a fine closer, friendlier-priced option.

  • 02

    The Maldives or the Seychelles?

The Maldives means an overwater villa and total seclusion; the Seychelles means wild nature and island-hopping. Both are exceptional; the choice is a mood. Write to us and we will help.

  • 03

When is best for a beach holiday in Greece?

May-June and September-October: the water is warm and the crowds far thinner than midsummer. July-August is the hottest, busiest stretch.
